reposting my comments!

Last summer the USC Science & Engineering renovated the first floor of their building. This newly redesigned reading room opened up the floor a great deal. It allowed for an expansion of seating areas for students, to both work individually, and providing more space for collaborative efforts.

  1. I am glad to hear they were able to find more room by just redoing the floor without have to go through major change or construction. It is surprising how much room there is in a space if things are shifted and looked at from another angle.

  2. Your post reconfirms a practical approach that is perhaps necessary for the current times--renovations do not need to be extensive and expensive to acheive the desired results.
